About
Built by a writer who was tired of compromising.
TrueProse began the way most good tools do — out of frustration. Its founder, Andrea Mei, is a novelist who tried every writing application on the market and found that each one solved a fragment of the problem and ignored the rest. Structure here, prose there, consistency nowhere. Translation was a wall. Keeping a long, complex world straight across hundreds of pages was left entirely to memory and spreadsheets.
So he spent two years building the suite he wished had existed — not as a demo, but as the thing he actually needed to finish his own book — The Jade Key: Prana Bleed, the first of a tetralogy. The proof is the work itself: a 100,000-word novel built to reach readers in five languages at once. TrueProse had to be good enough to ship a real book before it was ever offered to another writer.
That origin is the whole philosophy. TrueProse is made by someone who sits where you sit — facing a blank page, protecting a voice, trying to reach readers who don’t share your language. It is not technology that discovered writing. It is writing that learned to build its own tools.

The mission
Talent is universal. Access must be too.
Talent is distributed evenly across the world. Access to the tools that turn talent into a finished, published, translated book is not. That gap is the entire reason we exist — and closing it is the measure we hold ourselves to. Growth and author success compound: funding the next generation of authors is exactly how we build a business worth keeping.
Our World Rules
Every author who writes in TrueProse defines the World Rules of their universe — the laws that cannot be broken. TrueProse has its own. These are ours.
Authors First. We win when authors win — and that’s what makes this a business worth backing.
- I
The Author Comes First. Always.
We are the support, never the protagonist. Your name is always the subject of our work.
- II
We Amplify. We Never Replace.
A microphone, not a singer. Every suggestion needs the author’s explicit approval.
- III
The Author’s Choices Are Sovereign.
Every creative decision belongs to the author. Nothing is auto-applied.
- IV
We Complement Professionals. We Don’t Eliminate Them.
We prepare manuscripts for professional editing. Editors and translators are allies.
- V
We Connect. We Don’t Cage.
Canon, glossary and Style fingerprint are the author’s IP. Export is always free, in open formats.
- VI
Zero Tolerance for Harm.
Content safety on every layer of the suite.
- VII
Built by Writers. Accountable to Writers.
We never train on your work without consent.
